My responsibilities include effectively communicating course content and providing instruction for BFA students in an asynchronous online setting. I facilitate discussions, introduce fundamental scientific concepts and update course content when needed. Additionally, I monitor the course space in the Canvas course management system, evaluate student performance by providing written feedback and grading work. I communicate with collegiate departments and staff as needed.

My responsibilities include effectively communicating course content and providing instruction in face-to-face and online setttings, creating presentations, and developing student activities. Additionally, I maintain the course space in the D2L Brightspace course management system, monitor student performance, submit grade reports, and communicate with collegiate departments and staff as needed.

My responsibilities included writing and revising Grade 5 science items for the Texas Through-year Assessment Pilot (TTAP) and reviewing science content and writing replacement items for WGU Academic Programs. Subjects covered included Earth, physical, and space sciences.

Contributed to the development of the English Language Arts (ELAL) and Mathematics portions of the SAT Suite of Assessments. I reviewed scientific journals and sources of popular science writing to ensure submitted test items were scientifically accurate. I read journals and popular science writing topics suitable for passage and item development in the Reading and Mathematics tests. I also authored and edited science passages for use on the Writing & Language portion of the assessments.

I collaborated with other program specialists to develop and deliver an interdisciplinary curriculum to low-income, potential first-generation college students. I also assisted program participants and their families as they navigated the college admission process.

I supervised and trained team leaders and professional scorers. I also coordinated the construction of range-finding materials and final training sets, monitored scorer reliability and project progress to ensure accuracy and the timely completion of projects. Projects included NAEP Science and Geography, TIMSS/TIMSS-R, and various state and district assessments.

Over 80% of Division B (grades 6-9) teams I mentored have won first place in the statewide Reach for the Stars and Solar System competitions.

I have given over 40 presentations to members of the general public, amateur science groups, school groups, and local service organizations.
